Employee Recognition
2025

IMG_8473_edited.jpg

As TLC Inc. wraps up another remarkable year, full of growth and success, the leadership team takes this moment to reflect on the incredible journey shared by all. They want to express their deepest appreciation for every member of the staff. It is your hard work, dedication, and passion that make TLC Inc. such a special place for the children, families, and the community.

Each year in March, a select few are honored with awards that are not handed out lightly. These individuals have gone above and beyond, setting an example for everyone. They embody the core values that make TLC Inc. what it is today. The hope is that each person will be inspired to set a personal goal to stand here next year, receiving an award themselves.

The leadership team is incredibly proud of each member of this team, and it’s their privilege to celebrate everyone. You all deserve recognition, and the leadership team wants to take every opportunity to show their gratitude.

This year, we are honored to recognize an exceptional individual as our Plattsburgh Educator of the Year! This award is given to someone who goes beyond expectations in every possible way, and this educator does just that—and more.

Their unwavering dedication to making TLC successful is a major reason why we believe so strongly in our program. Their passion and hard work are felt at every level, from providing exceptional care to each child, learning their unique needs and wants, and ensuring every classroom—and the center as a whole—runs smoothly.

But their impact doesn’t stop there. They step up in every way:
✨ Organizing and improving classrooms and the center
✨ Leading fundraising efforts, decorating, and supporting the PTO board
✨ Becoming a mentor lead, helping new employees find their way, offering feedback, and working to resolve concerns
✨ Always being willing to help wherever they are needed

And honestly, sometimes we think they may just sleep here because even after their shift, they never seem to go home! Their dedication knows no bounds, and they are always here making sure things are running smoothly.

This person has come a long way—from being the weirdo who used to walk past my office making dinosaur noises (yes, we all remember!) to someone I can now count on to take on any task, complete it efficiently, and always give 110%.

What truly makes this educator stand out is their growth. Over the last 2.5 years, they have shown an inspiring level of resilience, determination, and commitment to both their own development and the success of our center. There is nothing quite like watching someone face challenges, learn from them, and keep pushing forward until they succeed.

This educator has an unstoppable drive to be something in life and is already making a real difference in the world—starting right here in our community.

💙 We are beyond proud to honor this individual as our Plattsburgh Educator of the Year! 💙 Congratulations—Victoria Lafave! 🎉👏

Malone Educator of the Year
Miss Hana & Miss Madi

This year, our Malone Educator of the Year Award is not going to just one person—but to two incredible individuals who embody the true meaning of teamwork.

We simply couldn’t choose one over the other because together, they showcase what it means to be a strong, unified team. Every day, they show up with positive attitudes, unwavering dedication, and a deep commitment to the children in their care. No matter what challenges they may be facing outside of work, they put on happy faces and ensure their classroom remains a safe, consistent, and nurturing space.

They work seamlessly together—sharing tasks equally, collaborating on lesson plans, and creating an environment where learning and growth thrive. They never raise their voices, instead leading with patience, kindness, and understanding. Their bond is so strong that they could probably finish each other’s sentences!

What makes them truly special is their ability to see the needs of every child. When a child requires a little extra love and attention, they don’t hesitate to go the extra mile—ensuring that child’s day is turned around. They don’t just do their job; they make a difference in the lives of the children and families they serve.

Even more impressively, they handle challenges independently and effectively, rarely needing to escalate issues to higher management because they take initiative and find solutions together.

Their teamwork, dedication, and passion make them irreplaceable, and we are beyond grateful to have them as part of our TLC family.

Congratulations to our Malone Educators of the Year--Miss Hana and Miss Madi! 🎉👏💙

The Golden Broom
Miss Lindsey & Miss Amanda

This award is given to individuals who take pride in their space, ensuring their classrooms are not just clean but above and beyond our expectations. They are the ones who consistently sanitize, organize, and deep-clean—not because they have to, but because they truly care about the well-being of our children and staff.

From wiping down every surface to disinfecting toys, from sweeping up every last crumb to ensuring every classroom item is spotless and in its place, they are the reason their spaces always look, feel, and smell fresh! Their commitment to maintaining a sanitary environment is essential in preventing the spread of illness, and they take that responsibility seriously.

They go above and beyond, often staying late or coming in early to make sure their classrooms are ready for the next day. Their dedication doesn’t go unnoticed—we see the extra effort, the attention to detail, and the passion they put into keeping TLC a safe, healthy, and welcoming place for everyone.

We are so grateful for their hard work and commitment to cleanliness, and we are thrilled to recognize them with this award.

Growth & Excellence Award
Malone - Mrs. Melisa

Today, we are thrilled to present the Growth & Excellence Award to someone who has showcased tremendous personal and professional growth.

This individual is always willing to lend a hand, offering support to those around her without hesitation. She has a natural ability to connect with others—sometimes maybe a little too much (but we love that about her!). Her dedication to her position is undeniable, and she truly understands the importance of her role within our team.

She is a consistent, welcoming presence—the kind of person new staff and families immediately feel comfortable with. Time and time again, people mention how she made them feel entirely at home from day one.

What truly sets her apart is her ability to take responsibility with grace. She openly acknowledges when she is wrong, which is one of the most important aspects of her growth. She doesn’t shy away from owning up to her mistakes and learns from them, always striving to improve.

Her growth, dedication, and ability to create a warm, open environment make her truly deserving of this recognition.

Please join me in congratulating Melisa Feimann for her outstanding growth and excellence! 💙👏

Growth & Excellence Award
Plattsburgh- Miss Rachel

The first award tonight goes to an individual who has grown tremendously since starting at TLC. From day one, she has consistently stepped outside her comfort zone and embraced every challenge with confidence and dedication.

When she first joined us, she wasn’t sure if she could run a classroom, but today, she is absolutely killing it! She has transformed into a leader, demonstrating incredible growth as an educator and showing just how far hard work and a willingness to learn can take someone.

Not only is she excelling in her own classroom, but she has also become one of our go-to trainers for new hires. She shows them the ropes, demonstrating exactly how a classroom should be run with the same passion, structure, and care she brings to her own work.

What makes her even more exceptional is her humility—she takes praise graciously, always striving to improve and ensuring she meets our expectations to the highest standard.

The children absolutely love her, and it’s clear to see why. She brings so much positivity, care, and energy to the classroom, and we are beyond lucky to have her as part of our team.

Please join me in congratulating Rachel Eamer for all her growth, success, and the amazing impact she has on both the children and the team! We couldn't be more proud and excited to see her continue to flourish! 🌱👏💙

It takes an incredible individual to dedicate themselves to years in Early Childhood Education. This is not just a job—it is a commitment to shaping the future. You have chosen to stay, to grow, and to invest in the lives of these children, providing them with skills, love, and opportunities that some may never have without you.

It would be easy to walk away, to find something less challenging or more financially rewarding, but the real cost of leaving would be to the children who need you. Your daily and yearly efforts are a testament to the amazing person you are and the difference you make in this world.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your dedication, your passion, and your belief in these kids. You are changing lives! 💙👏✨
